If Day One of the Gulliver Long Course Senior Invitational is any indication, it’s going to be a very competitive Long Course season.
On a chilly, windswept day at Gulliver Prep’s Marian Krutulis Aquatic Facility in Miami, Lisa Blackburn, a Bermuda National Record Holder, did well in her first meet representing South Florida Aquatic Club.
At 43, the oldest swimmer in the field won the 100-meter Breaststroke touching the wall in a time of 1:18.46, Blackburn finished second in the 200-meter Breaststroke clocking 2:54.71 and fourth in the 50-meter Freestyle with a time of 28.93.
