The Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association will host the Mailboxes Limited Winter Age Group Championships which is the first Championship level meet for the new season.
Most of the swimmers have been training hard since September and this will be the test of their fitness and technique.
There will be 8 Age Group Champions crowned at the completion of the 3 day meet with total FINA points from 5 events.
Most of the events are longer in Distance at this Championship as BASA for the endurance that has been built over the last 3 months.
There will be several swimmers looking to make their Carifta qualifying times at this meet as they get closer to the Qualification deadline of January 31st.
The meet will be held on Friday Evening from 6-7:15, Saturday morning from 8:30-10:30 and Sunday morning from 8:30 to 10:30.
On Saturday morning BASA will also be having their 3rd Development meet for the season from 11-12pm. This is an opportunity for the young swimmers to test their training and see if they have developed enough to qualify for the standard level meets.
