The Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association released the updated Long Course Meter Records, following the Coral Springs Invitational held May 17th – 18th, 2014 in Coral Springs, Florida, U.S.A. and the 8 and Under Boys, 9-10 Girls, 11 and 12 Girls and 11-12 Boys records during the Validus Bermuda National Championships held June 5th – 8th, 2014 at the National Sports Centre in Bermuda.

Nicholas Brando is now the 200m Backstroke Record holder after touching the wall in a time of 2:40.78, breaking his own record of 2:41.20 set on April 25th, 2014

8 and Under Boys
Elijah Daley establishing a record for the first time 50m Freestyle with a time of 38.64, on June 8th, the 200m Freestyle clocking 3:22.73 on June 6th, as well as the 50m Butterfly touching the wall in a time of 44.89 on June 6th. Daley then establishing a record for the first time in the 100m Butterfly with a time of 1:46.94, on June 8th the 50m Backstroke with a time of 49.89 on June 6th, 2014 and the 200m Individual Medley clocking 3:45.32 on June 8th.
Girls 9 – 10
Jessica Bruton is the new Record Holder of the 400 Freestyle after recording a time of 5:32.65, breaking Ashley Yearwood’s record of 5:38.07 set on July 1st, 2005
Girls 11 and 12
Emma Harvey set a new 100m Butterfly record with a time of 1:08.35, breaking her own record of 1:08.60 set on April 22nd, 2014, she then clocked 2:39.22 to set a new record in the 200m Backstroke, breaking her own record of 2:39.60 set on April 25th, 2014 and then Harvey set a new 400m Individual Medley record with a time of 5:32.98, breaking Kaitlyn Miller’s record of 6:08.04 set on May 6th, 2004
Ashley Irby set a new 50m Freestyle record with a time of 28.11, breaking Madelyn Moore’s record of 28.12 set on April 2nd, 2013 and then she set a new 100m Freestyle record with a time of 1:01.63, breaking Emma Harvey’s record of 1:02.55 set on May 25th, 2014.
