5 MORE MEDALS - Emma Harvey Wins 2 Gold Medals, Jesse Washington Wins Gold, Madelyn Moore Wins Silver and Ashley Irby Wins Bronze

Day Three Finals

Emma Harvey captured Bermuda’s First Gold Medal of the day when she touched the wall first with a Personal Best time of 2:34.42 during the 11-12 Girls 200 LC Meter IM, Harvey's time crushed the Bermuda Age Group record by Jenny Smart set back in 1987 of 2:39.22. During the 13-14 Boys 100 LC Meter Freestyle Jesse Washington won a Gold Medal clocking a Personal Best time of 54.46. Harvey then won the final Medal of the night and her Second Gold on the night when she won the 11-12 Girls 200 LC Meter Butterfly with a Personal Best time of 2:36.25.

Madelyn Moore won a Silver Medal in the 13-14 Girls 100 LC Meter Freestyle clocking a time of 1:00.47. Ashley Irby clocked a Personal Best 1:02.65 on her way to capturing a Bronze Medal during the 11-12 Girls 100 LC Meter Freestyle that also set a New Age Group Record.

Ethan Daley clocked 1:02.54 finishing 5th during the 11-12 Boys 100 LC Meter Freestyle.

Preliminaries

Day Three of the Carifta Swimming Championships going on in Aruba has seen Bermuda Swimmers back in action during Preliminaries.

Emma Harvey advanced to the 11-12 Girls 200 LC Meter IM Final when she finished 3rd with a time of 2:41.00, Isabelle Dutranoit finished 19th with a Personal Best time of 2:58.74. Ethan Daley finished 9th with a Personal Best time of 2:37.06 taking part in the 11-12 Boys 200 LC Meter IM, while Alex Pilgrim finished 14th with a Personal Best time of 2:45.05.

Philip Hagen clocked 2:24.59 during the 15-17 Boys 200 LC Meter IM that saw him finish 15th, while Dutranoit finished 16th with a Personal Best time of 44.62 competing in the 11-Girls 50 LC Meter Breaststroke.

Keagan Woolley and Jude Moseley finished 19th and 20th in the 11-12 Boys 50 LC Meter Breaststroke, both clocked Personal Best times of 41.03 and 42.36. Hagen then finished 11th in the 15-17 Boys 50 LC Meter Breaststroke touching the wall in a Personal Best time of 32.88.

Ashley Irby advanced to the 11-12 Girls 100 LC Meter Freestyle Final with the 4th fastest qualifying time of 1:03.64, which is a Personal Best, while Alyssa Paynter finished 18th with a Personal Best time 1:09.64. Daley recorded the 5th fastest qualifying time competing in the 11-12 Boys 100 LC Meter Freestyle with a Personal Best time of 1:02.48, with Pilgrim finishing 13th clocking a Personal Best time of 1:04.43.

Madelyn Moore set a New Bermuda Age Group Record on her way to winning the 13-14 Girls 100 LC Meter Freestyle when she clocked a Personal Best time of 59.55, she was just off the Carifta Record time by .01 of a second, while Shannon Hassell finished 11th with a time 1:02.54.

Jesse Washington won the 13-14 Boys 100 LC Meter Freestyle with a Personal Best time of 54.47 and Hagen finished 15th in the 15-17 Boys 100 LC Meter Freestyle touching the wall in a Person Best time of 56.56.
