Six time All-American Ashley Yearwood has been named to the Denison University Women’s Swimming team for the upcoming NCAA Division III Championships.
Yearwood a Communication major with a minor in Art was named in 2012 to the All–American list in the 200 Medley Relay, 50 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle Relay, 400 Freestyle Relay.
Back in 2012 Yearwood represented Bermuda at the Caribbean Island Swimming Championships [CISC] in Aruba, picking up one Silver and two Bronze Medals. The 17-year-old swimmer also won a Bronze Medal in the 50m Freestyle at the Carifta Games.
That was the year Yearwood was crowned the Junior Female Athlete of the Year.
In 2013 Yearwood won nine medals during the Island Games, which included five in the Individual Medals and four in Relay events.
Yearwood has this year already had an impressive season with remarkable times, she is looking to qualify for International competition in the very near future.
