Following the first meet of the Best of BEST series at the BASA Pool and the Age Group Invitational for P1 and P2 levels in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association have released the updated Short Course Meter Records.
Five new records were set four days ago in Bermuda, Elan Daley set a New Record in the Girls 8 and Under 100m Individual Medley touching the wall in a time of 1:29.47, breaking her own record of 1:34.88 set on December 13th, 2013.
During the 11 and 12 Girls 200m Butterfly Emma Harvey recorded a New Record time of 2:37.22, breaking her own record of 2:46.65 set on December 1st, 2013.
Alex Pilgrim, Myles Packwood, Jayson Hassell and Alex Bordage set a New 11 and 12 Boys 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay time when they was clocked at 4:59.71, breaking the record of Josh Irvine, Nicholas Brando, Brett Smith and Evan Farrow, 5:22.08, set on March 3rd, 2012.
Madelyn Moore, Brittany Siddle, Charlotte Faries and Shannon Hassell are now the 13 and 14 Girls 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay record holders after clocking a time of 4;28.91, breaking the record of Paige Bruton, D’Andra Seymour, Jessie Thomas and Shannon Hassell, 4:41.48 set on February 23rd, 2013.
Jesse Washington now holds the 13 and 14 Boys 200m Backstroke Record after recording a time of 2:17.83, breaking Matthew Hammond’s record of 2:18.52 set on July 1st, 1995.
Vanessa Esposito broke two 15 and 16 Girls Records while taking part in the Age Group Invitational for P1 and P2 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Esposito recorded a 200m Individual Medley Preliminaries time of 2:29.68, breaking her own record of 2:31.11 set on December 14th, 2013. She went even faster taking part in the 200m Individual Medley Final when she touched the wall in a time of 2:27.26, breaking her own record of 2:29.68 set on February 1st, 2014.
