Division I Ohio University managed to hold on for a 157-143 victory over Ashley Yearwood and her Denison University Women’s Swimming teammates at the Trumbull Aquatics Center.
In the 400m Freestyle Relay, Yearwood, Carolyn Kane, Tully Bradford, and Molly Willingham finished in front of Denison's other Relay squad made up of Kate Wright, Mary Van Leuven, Natalie Lugg and Rima Jurjus. The relay team of Kane, Yearwood, Bradford, and Willingham won with a time of 3:29.72, while the second-place relay touched in 3:35.13.
During the 200 Medley Relay, Denison's foursome of Kane, Willingham, Lugg and Yearwood placed second in a time of 1:47.32.
In Individual competition, Yearwood finished 3rd in the Women’s 100 Yard Backstroke touching the wall in a time of 59.22. Yearwood then finished 6th in the Women’s 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 54.48.
