Kiera Aitken took part in the Greece Grand Prix 2012 in Acropolis, Athens.
The International swimming event called "Acropolis", was established in 1987 was held at the Municipal Swimming Alimos.
The event involved a total of 275 swimmers, 51 from three Greek clubs, 5 countries and 4 foreign clubs.
The countries involved included Aitken from Bermuda, Cyprus, Switzerland, Italy, Tunisia and Austria.
Aitken finished T6th in the Women’s 50m Freestyle Preliminaries with a time of 27.37 to advance to the A Finals, during the A Final Aitken finished 7th with a time of 27.34.
Aitken finished 4th in the Women’s 50m Backstroke Preliminaries when she touched the wall in a time of 30.58, in the A Final Aitken missing out on a Bronze Medal by .03 of a second when she finished 4th with a time of 30.59.
Aitken recorded the fastest Women’s 100m Backstroke qualifying time, when she touched the wall a time of 1:04.58, Aitken went faster in the A Final but she finished 3rd with a time of 1:04.50.
