Day One of the Charlotte Grand Prix has seen Bermuda Swimmers take to the water. Click Read More to watch Lisa Blackburn compete in the Women's 100m Breatstroke A Final - 2012 Charlotte Grand Prix.

The Charlotte Grand Prix is the 6th meet of the Grand Prix series and once again it has attracted many of the top US swimmers and top non US swimmer alike.

With this being the home base of Roy-Allan Burch it has become a familiar stop for the season.

Both Lisa Blackburn and Julian Fletcher were up first in their main events with Olympic qualification on their mind.

Blackburn won her Heat competing in the Women 100 Long Course Meter Breaststroke clocking a time of 1:11.70 to finish 7th overall and advance to the Finals.

Blackburn’s time saw her set a New National Record and puts her under 1 second away from the time needed to qualify for the London Olympic Games.

Fletcher had a very strong swim in the Men 100 Long Course Meter Breaststroke where he also won his heat clocking a time of 1:03.89. Fletcher like Blackburn set a New National Record with his time and he has advanced to the B Final.

In the Women’s 100 Long Course Meter Breaststroke Final Blackburn finished 8th when she clocked 1:13:18.

Fletcher finished 6th in the Men’s 100 LC Meter Breaststroke B Final when he clocked a time of 1:04:13.
