Whaley & Arkansas Continue Preseason Training Camp

IslandStats.com
Devwah Whaley and his Arkansas teammates closed out its second week of preseason camp with its first scrimmage of the season inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

It was also the first time the team had officials and live tackling as they tried to mimic a game-like setting as much as possible.

The 100-plus play scrimmage included first, second and third-down work as well as red-zone situations.

Notable Performances

The Running backs saw lots of action, Freshman running back Chase Hayden led the way on the ground with 110 yards on 16 carries. He showcased his elusiveness when he fended off tacklers and exploded for a 65-yard run before being forced out of bounds at the 9-yard line by senior defensive back Henre’ Toliver.

Along with Hayden’s 100-plus yards, sophomore Whaley grounded out 77 yards on 16 attempts, senior David Williams carried 11 times for 52 yards, and freshman Maleek Williams chipped in 21 yards on 11 rushes.
