Jaden Talbot and his Washington Academy Football teammates are now 1 & 2 on the season following their 39 16 defeat to Ellsworth-Sumner at East Machias.
Ellsworth-Sumner outscored Washington Academy 6 0 in the first period, they would take a 18 8 lead to the break, another shutout in the third quarter of 7 0 helped them to lead 28 5 with one quarter to play. Ellsworth-Sumner would once again outscore Washington Academy in the quarter 14 8 for the win.
Talbot led Washington Academy with 115 yards and 1 touchdown.

Whaley & Arkansas Fall to North Texas
Devwah Whaley and his Arkansas teammates dropped their home game to North Texas 44-17 inside Razorback Stadium.
Whaleys run of nine consecutive games with a Touchdown came to an end when he had 9 carries, for 16 yards, Whaley would also hold onto a catch for 6 yards.

Talbot Leads Washington Academy to Victory
Talbot Celebrates Scoring
Jaden Talbot helped Washington Academy Football defeat Stearns High School 28 20.
Talbot had 27 carries for 170 yards scoring 3 Touchdowns including the winner.
Washington Academy took the lead when Talbot went over for a 1 yard run, Finn Furth doubled the lead on a 52 yard run Touchdown.
Stearns High School would get on the scoreboard with a Bennett Dunstan pass to Elliot Shearer and then Dunstan scored on a 67 yard fumble recovery to make it 14 14.
Talbot would put Washington Academy back in front when he scored on a 7 yard touchdown run, but Andrew Daigle scored on a 2 yard run and with the extra point blocked Washington Academy held a 21-20 lead.
Talbot would close out the match when he scored on a 2 yard run to make the final score 28 0.

Whaley & Arkansas Fall to Colorado State
Devwah Whaley and his Arkansas Mens Football teammates fell to Colorado State on the road 34-27 after a late score gave them a seven-point advantage with eight seconds left in the fourth quarter.
A 14 play 73 yard drive was capped by a Devwah Whaley touchdown from three yards out that gave Arkansas a 7-3 lead late in the first quarter. Whaley, who recorded his second touchdown of the season, has scored a touchdown in eight-straight games dating back to the Auburn game last season.
Whaley had 26 rushes for 165 yards, Whaley rushed for 100+ yards for the first time since rushing 119 against New Mexico State last season.
Whaley recorded his fourth career 100-yard rushing game and he has set a career-high in total rushing yards.
Whaley is the first Arkansas player to run for 150+ yards and 25+ attempts since Rawleigh Williams III ran for 205 at Mississippi State in 2016 and he set a season-high rushing attempts.

Talbot Named LTC Player of the Week
Former Whitney Institute Student Jaden Talbot is now attending Washington Academy.
Talbot who was a member of the Bermuda Under 14 Rugby team back in 2015 now plays Football for Washington Academy following the footsteps of another Bermudian player at the school Tehon Fox.
Talbot was named the Little Ten Conference Player of the Week for Week One of the season helping his team to a 32 0 win over Orono High School.
