Walker Campbell and his William & Mary Men's Golf teammates fired a final round 3-under par 291 to round out an 10-under 854, 54-hole score and win The Invitational at Savannah Harbor for the second straight season.
William & Mary held off Austin Peay by three strokes to win the event.
Junior Gavin deFisser led William & Mary on the Individual side as he moved into second place for the Tournament. He fired a final round 1-under par 71 to finish the tournament with a 5-under par 211. Classmate David Hicks made the biggest charge of the day as he finished the tournament with his lowest round of the weekend and the team's lowest of the day at 2-under par 70.
Both Hicks and sophomore Campbell finished the 54-hole event with matching scores of 2-under par 214's to finish T7th.
Freshman Trevor Hecht rounded out his tournament with a 216 (E) score, while classmate Otto Voettiner, who made his collegiate debut this weekend finished with a 11-over pat 227, while Senior Tom Simmonds, who was playing as an individual recorded his best tournament score his career with a 11-over par 227.
