David Ogrin posted on his social media page, “Big shout out to Kai Liam Notteboom for a 9-shot victory. But great job by Betschart who has had a successful run of golf in Texas, Switzerland, and Scotland this year as well as his home of Bermuda.
We were able in 2021 to get Betschart to swing on a draw path moving away from a little boy hoist over the top slice to a power draw, we implemented Putting Zone skills and Oliver's putting has improved over two years. We talk about DECADE all the time and making good decisions based on probability, not emotion. It helps Oliver is pretty cool and calm naturally.
It’s probably time for a 13-year-old to get ready to move to a professional-type club set up with clubs not jacked up and with a springy face. Be patient and wait for natural growth in strength and body for fitness. More putting improvement. Learn a whole bunch of open-faced pitches and chips around the green.
As a remote coach, I am just a "set of eyes" as Bill Harmon likes to say for Betschart. I watch the video with him. Chat once a week via modern media. Encourage him always. Betschart has a chance. I am honored to be a part of it.”
