On March 17, the PGA TOUR made the announcement, that due to the ongoing health crisis related to COVID-19, all PGA TOUR events through May 10th have been cancelled, that was later extended, but on Sunday June 14th, Collin Morikawa missed a three-foot putt to hand Daniel Berger victory as the first PGA Tour event in three months finished in a play-off in Texas. Sean Sovacool, Tournament Director, of the 2020 Bermuda PGA Championship, back in April Sovacool, communicated the Tournament remains scheduled for October 26th to November 1st. Sovacool speaking to www.islandstats.com said, “We are pressing ahead with things for the 2020 edition, we are constantly speaking with all the authorities to ensure the safety of everyone who will be involved and in attendance.”
“We are ahead of the game from last year, as we didn’t have much time to complete the task, but after seeing how this country was able to pull off what they did last year, we feel confident that we will have yet another great tournament,” concluded Sovacool
