On March 17, the PGA TOUR made the announcement that due to the ongoing health crisis related to COVID-19, all PGA TOUR events through May 10th have been cancelled.
Sean Sovacool, Tournament Director, of the 2020 Bermuda PGA Championship, recently communicated the tournament at present remains scheduled for October 26th to November 1st.
Sovacool in the statement said, “First and foremost, the health and safety of everyone associated with the Bermuda Championship and our community will continue to be our No. 1 priority as we navigate the impact of COVID-19.
Naturally, this is a very fluid situation that requires constant review, communication and transparency. As we prepare for our event this fall, we will continue to monitor information provided by the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control, along with local authorities. On a regular basis, we will provide status updates, including any additional protocols put in place to ensure the health and safety of all in attendance as we get closer to our tournament.
