Michael Sims is the early Club House leader on Day One of the Bermuda Championship Qualifier at the Port Royal Golf Course.
Sims shot a 4-under par 67 and will take a one stroke lead into the Second and Final Round over amateur Jarryd Dillas who shot an opening round 3-under par 68, currently holding down the final Qualifying spot is Camiko Smith who shot an Even Par 71.
Sims recorded Six Birdies, 11 Pars and 1 Double Bogey, while Dillas had 4 Birdies, 13 Pars and 1 Bogey and Smith had 4 Birdies, 11 Pars, 2 Bogey’s and 1 Double Bogey
First Round Leader Michael Sims said, “The course was in immaculate condition today with very little breeze. I played solid and made a couple of big putts on holes eight and nine that seemed to kickstart my round. I had fun out there and enjoyed the pairing, we all seemed to play well.”
