Chesson Hadley, one of the eGolf Tours more charismatic players followed up a first-round 65 with a second-round 68 to reach 11-under par at the Inaugural River Landing Open, and will now take a two-shot lead into the Third Round, with eyes on capturing his first Tour Title.
The River Landing Open is the 16th event of the 2012 eGolf Tour season, and is being contested this week on the River Course at River Landing Country Club in Wallace, NC.
Michael Sims shot a Second Round Even-par 72 to end the day T36th and make the Cut at 2-under par overall.
Sims started out on the Front Nine, shooting back to back Pars, this was followed by back to back Bogeys, Sims pulled a stroke back when he recorded a Birdie on the par five fifth, a Bogey on the very next hole saw Sims fall back to 2-over, but a Birdie on the par five seventh, Sims closed out his round with back to back Pars to make the turn at 1-over.
On the Back Nine Sims started out with three consecutive Pars, which was followed by a Birdie to move to Even. Sims then recorded a Bogey on the par four fourteenth to move back to 1-over, Sims then recorded back to back Birdies before closing out his Second Round with a Bogey and Par.
