Mitchell Campbell endured a rough outing in the Callaway Junior World Golf Championships in San Diego, Campbell shot rounds of 13-over par 85, 9-over par 81 and 9-over par 81 in his three rounds to finish +31.
In his first round Campbell recorded 8 Pars, 7 Bogey’s and 3 Double Bogey’s.
The second round saw Campbell register an Eagle on the par five sixth hole, he also had 2 Birdies, 6 Pars, 5 Bogey’s and 4 Double Bogey’s.
In his final round Campbell recorded a Birdie, 8 Pars, 8 Bogey’s and 1 Double Bogey.
Bermuda Professional Golfers Association Jack Daniels Tour
Daniel Augustus won the Third Bermuda Professional Golfers Association’s Jack Daniels Tour Major of the year with a steady, 2-under par 68 at Belmont Hills Golf Course.
With a little bit of a bumpy start, Augustus Bogeyed 2 out of his first three holes when failing to hit the greens. However from his fourth hole onward it was fairways and greens, using his length to Birdie holes 15,17,1 and 8. His only real blemish was a shot on his final hole the 9th which was heading out of bounds only to see it hit a rock and bounce into the fairway. Augustus proceeded to hit his approach shot to within 10 feet only to just miss a 67.
Second place went to Dwayne Pearman who had it to 2 under on the front 9 but faded on the back to finish four shots back at 2-over par 72. Chaka Desilva finished with another 3rd place finish with a 5-over par 75 along with Anthony Mocklow. There was a 3 way tie for 4th between Scott Roy, Paul Adams and Chris Grantier.
