Michael Sims began taking part in the River Hills Classic at the River Hills Country Club. Sims after two rounds is T20th at 4-under par. In his third round Sims shot 3-under par 68 to move to 7-under par to end the day T13th.
Sims third round saw him card an Eagle, five Birdies, nine Pars, two Bogeys and one Double Bogey.
Sims started out on the Front Nine and after four consecutive Pars Sims fell to 1-over after a Bogey on the par 3 fifth, but he bounced right back with an Eagle on the very next hole to move to 1-under par. Following a Par, Sims then recorded a Bogey on the par 4 eighth, but a Birdie on the par 4 ninth saw Sims make the turn at 1-under par.
On the Back Nine Sims started out with back to back Pars, he then had a Double Bogey on the par 5 twelfth, but Sims then recorded three consecutive Birdies, to move to 2-under par, Sims then closed out his round with a Par, Birdie and Par.
