Sims T10th at Willow Creek Open

Sims Hits Out of a Bunker

Michael Sims ended Day Two T10th after shooting a 3-under par 69 in the eGolf tour’s Willow Creek Open and is 6 strokes behind leader Peter Malnati.

The Willow Creek Open is the ninth of 24 scheduled events on the 2012 eGolf Tour schedule, and is being contested this week at Willow Creek Country Club in High Point, NC. The event is the third of 10 scheduled 54-hole events on the tour’s 2012 schedule.

Sims started out on the Front Nine, Sims started with three consecutive Pars, before recording a Birdie on the par five fourth. Sims then had two consecutive Pars before shooting another Birdie on the par five seventh, a Par followed before Sims closed out his round with a Birdie on the par four ninth to make the turn at 3-under.

On the Back Nine, he began with a Bogey on the par five tenth. This was followed by three consecutive Pars, before a Birdie on the par four fourteenth. A Par on the fifteenth was followed by a Bogey on the sixteenth and then a Birdie on the par five seventeenth, Sims closed out his round with a Par.
