Round One of the Bermuda Public Links Championships took place at the Ocean View Golf Course, for the Golfers it was a challenging day, not just with a dry Course but also being held up by other players.
Despite the challenges, Leroy Burch leads the Men’s Individual Stroke Play Division after carding a 4-over par 74, while four strokes back is Steven Lambert who shot a 8-over par 78. Jeffrey Tyrrell rounded out the top three players shooting a 9-over par 79.
The Ladies Individual Stroke Play Division is led after the first round by Katrin Burnie who shot a 6-over par 78, Sylvia Tavares will start the second round in second place after carding a 8-over par 80, while Wendy Salvia is in third after shooting a first round 11-over par 83.
Steven Hickmott is leading the Seniors Individual Stroke Play Division after shooting an opening round 4-over par 74, Franklyn Morgan is in second after carding a 7-over par 77, while Eldon Raynor and Richard Jones both shot 9-over pars 79.
