Michael Sims shot and Opening Round 2-under par 70 to end the day T26th during the Forest Oaks Classic going on at the Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Sims started out on the Back Nine with a Par on the tenth, before recording a Birdie on the par 5 eleventh, but a Bogey on the very next hole saw Sims back to Even Par. Sims then shot a Par, Birdie, Par, Bogey and back to back Pars to make the turn at Even Par.
On the Front Nine Sims started out with four consecutive Pars, before recording and Birdie on the par 4 fifth, this was followed by three consecutive Pars before Sims closed out his round with a Birdie on the par 4 ninth.
