Watson Books Bermuda Grand Slam Ticket

IslandStats.com
Bubba Watson, one of the most popular players in the game, earned the first spot in the 2012 PGA Grand Slam of Golf field thanks to a scintillating sudden-death playoff win at the Masters over South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen.

The Grand Slam will be played in Bermuda, October 22nd – 24th.

It took two holes of sudden-death and a miraculous shot, but at the end of the 76th Masters, Bubba Watson earned his first major championship victory and the first spot in the 30th PGA Grand Slam of Golf.

Watson sealed his maiden major title with an amazing wedge approach from pine straw, right of Augusta National's 10th fairway, setting up a two-putt par to defeat South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen. The two were knotted at 10-under 278 after 72 holes when Watson shot a 4-under 68 in the final round. Watson will be joined by the year's remaining three other major champions, Oct. 22-24, at Port Royal Golf Course in Bermuda, where 2011 PGA Champion Keegan Bradley triumphed a year ago.

The PGA Grand Slam of Golf, the season-ending showcase event that boasts the most difficult qualification requirement in the game -- a major championship -- will be televised by TNT to a worldwide audience.
