Jarryd Dillas won the 83rd Men’s Bermuda Golf Association Amateur Match Play Championships, while Kathy Lloyd Hines won the 81st Women’s Bermuda Golf Association Amateur Match Play Championships.
At the end of the very interesting week of Match Play Golf, Dillas and Lloyd Hines emerged victorious, all be it in different ways.
Dillas took a commanding lead being up 4 after the first 18 holes over Fraser Hunt, although he did let it slip a bit, Dillas managed to pull his game together and win the Championship on the 33rd hole.
Lloyd Hines found herself down four holes to Katrin Burnie after the first ten of the 36 hole final play-off, but she worked her way back to being down 1 after the first 18 holes. Lloyd Hines evened the match on the 19th hole before gaining a 1up lead after 26 and she maintained the lead to win the trophy outright.
Jerome Bradshaw fought off a challenge from Eric Robinson to capture the Men’s Seniors Flight Consolation Title, while Terry Mullan defeated Jeffrey Lindo to win the Men’s Senior Flight Championships.
Gary Brangman overcame a tough start to walk away at the Men’s Championship Consolation Winner over Scott Barnett and Tracy Burgess won the Ladies Championship Consolation title winning over Sandy Hutchings.
