Bermuda FEI Jumping World Challenge Competition 2

The Bermuda Equestrian Federation hosted Competition #2 of the 2020 FEI Jumping World Challenge at the National Equestrian Center on Vesey Street.

In the 1.20-1.30m Category A Division, young Kayla Bardgett and her horse Causing Chaos leaped into first place with a Clear Round in a time of 57.77. Philip Correia riding Hornelli incurred 12 penalties to claim the 2nd place.

Continuing their winning streak in the 1.10-1.20m Category B Division was Philip Correa riding Junior Cardento. This team rode a Clear Round in a time of 54.93. Jaylynn Hines and Carolina Gold also rode a Clear Round in a time of 68.45, to secure 2nd place spot.

In the 1.00-1.10m Category C Division, Abby Bardgett rode an exciting Clear Round in what was to be the fastest time of the day of 52.04 thereby clinching first place. In second place was Philip Correia and Bon Voyage who also rode a Clear Round but in a slightly slower time of 52.20.

Only the results of the best two of the three competitions per category count towards the final rankings of the FEI Jumping World Challenge

The 3rd and final competition that comprises this year’s FEI Jumping World Challenge will take place on Sunday, March 29th at the National Equestrian Center.

Judging today’s competition was President of the Ground Judge FEI Judge Judy Hagen and Ground Jury Member FEI Judge Pam Mahoney, both of Bermuda.
