In Harness Pony Racing action at the National Equestrian Center on Vesey Street saw Kiwon Waldron lower his record time competing in the 1:05&0 – 1:06&0 Time Bar Class.
Waldron in the bike of Special Gold was clocked at 1:04&2, on New Years Day, Waldron and Special Gold broke the 2 Year Old record when he was clocked at 1:05 flat. Andrea Westerfield in the bike of Just Watch Me finished second in 1:04&4.
Darrico Clarke in the bike of Cherokee’s Ironman won Heat 5 the 1:04&4 & Faster Time Bar Class clocking 1:03&3, Christian Truran and Pocket De Gold finished second clocking 1:04 flat, Phillip Correia and Simsfield Hardtimes finished 3rd with a time of 1:04&4 and Dylan DeSilva in the bike of Double Time finished 4th clocking 1:05&1.
In one of the closest finishes of the day saw Kayla Caldwell in the bike of Stay Tuned and Phillip Correia in the bike of Spirit of Brona were both clocked 1:09&1, with Caldwell declared the winner of the 1:07&2 – 1:10&4 Time Bar Class Heat 9 after officials went to the camera.
