Philip Correia had the performance of a life time when he stood on the podium to receive the Silver Medal at the 2016 FEI WORLD JUMPING FINALS in Rabat Morocco.
Presenting the award was FEI President Ingmar De Vos. Correia is the second Bermudian rider to Medal in a Final competition of a FEI World Jumping Finals.
Riding the 17‐year‐old chestnut horse Kilt Bessier, Correia achieved Clear Rounds during all four days of competition. In an exciting Final Jump Off, Correia narrowly missed the Gold Medal which was won by Lebanon’s rider Marek Maitalo who clocked a slightly faster time. Bronze winner was Morocco’s rider Yassine Bennani.
