In New Years Day 2016 Harness Pony Racing saw more fast times recorded at the National Equestrian Center on Vesey Street.
In the First Heat of the Aged Pony Boxing Day Stake Races Final Cherokee’s Ironman with Tyler Lopes in the bike clocked a time of 1:03&3 to finish first, while GV Crystal Ball and Andrea Westerfield finished second clocking 1:04 flat. Lucas Bridges in the bike of Brona’s Mike finished third with a time of 1:04&4 and IC’s Shakedown with Phillip Corriea finished fourth in a time of 1:05 flat.
In the second race IC’s Shakedown and Phillip Corriea finished with the fastest time of 1:03&3, Lucas Bridges in the bike of Brona’s Mike finished second with a time of 1:03&4, Cherokee’s Ironman with Tyler Lopes in the bike clocked a time of 1:04 flat finishing third and GV Crystal Ball and Andrea Westerfield finished fourth clocking 1:04&1.
In Heat One the 1:09&3 – 1:10&3 Time Bar Class Iron Mike with Tyler Lopes in the bike recorded a winning time of 1:11&4, Keith Woodley in the bike of Spirit of Brona finished second with the same time of 1:11&4.
Clocking a time of 1:08&1, Ryan Burrows in the bike of Skyway Majestic won Heat Two in the 1:06&1 – 1:07&1 Division Time Bar Class, Dale Miller in the bike of Real Ladylike finished second in 1:08&2 and Inwood’s Generation finished third clocking 1:08&4.
