Bermuda will tonight celebrate as Dawn Fox and Lancelot won the Prix St. George’s and Advance Classes during Group X competition of the FEI World Dressage Challenge at the National Equestrian Center (NEC) over competitors from the Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago.
As a team Bermuda finished third with an overall score of 193.738, Cayman Islands finished first with a score of 198.966, while Jamaica finished second recording a score of 196.552. Barbados with a score of 192.561 finished fourth and Trinidad and Tobago finished fifth with a score of 185.361.
Bermuda team consist of Fox riding Lancelot, Suzette Sailsman riding Wiriana, Cindy Radford riding 24 Carrot and Rebecca Carne riding Limited Edition.
Fox and Lancelot recorded a score of 61.184 to not only win the Bermuda leg but also the Group X Prix St. George’s, unfortunately Bermuda’s score was hindered by the Elimination of Paula George and her horse Wiriana from the team competition.
Judges Ricardo Rojas from Costa Rica and Mariano Santos from Spain travelled to the competing islands making their final stop in Bermuda.
Speaking to www.islandstats.com following her ride, Fox said, “I am extremely pleased with the performance, Lancelot responded to each command and done an excellent job.”
