NORCECA President Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz, gave the opening words indicating “Our Confederation is back to its regular competitions after the forced recess due to the global Pandemic Covid-19, achieving its financial independence thanks to the efforts of many; in addition to our open attitude to always listen and discuss each and every proposal presented by our NORCECA members”.

Dr. Ary Graça addressed the Congress explaining that the FIVB hasn’t stopped its efforts to support every National Federation during the inexorable forces of change that the world of volleyball has been challenged with “I invite you all to work with us together through the FIVB Empowerment program which has a financial support thanks to commercial opportunities from sponsors, promotors and TV, and marketing rights”.

The NORCECA/FIVB Volleyball Regional Development Center in the Dominican Republic presented a full report, underlining that it is the only development center in the world authorized by the FIVB to carry out face to face Level III Coaches Course that concluded a couple of days ago.

Bermuda Volleyball Association (BVA) Co-President & Director Elizabeth Rae was excited about the conference stating, “There are some programs that came out in the congress that we can take advantage of, including a fund to help athletes participate in the Norceca Beach Tour as well as financial assistance for visiting coaches.”
