Ty Hurdle’s Queens University of Charlotte Men's Volleyball teammates opened the Men's Volleyball Classic with an impressive straight set sweep over the Barton Bulldogs.
The straight set victory is Queens’ second this season as they improved to 2-1 inside Curry Arena. Queens has now won the last two matchups with Barton after losing the first seven meetings.
The first set was a thriller for the limited fans that could attend as they were treated to a 27 - 25 Queens win.
Queens really found their rhythm in the second set and they never turned around sealing the set with a 25 - 14 victory.
Queens surge in the third set would be enough as they extended their lead to as much as eight and the depleted Barton squad was unable to answer as Queens won 25 - 18.
