One year before the 2021 Caribbean Games, the Organizing Committee held a press conference at the Timeless, Brasserie du Mémorial ACTe.
It was a question for the Committee of confirming the holding of the Games on the dates initially envisaged, that is to say from June 30th to July 4th, 2021, in spite of the health crisis which affected the whole world in these last months and whose evolution is followed.
The President of CACSO (Sports Organization of Central America and the Caribbean), Luis Mejia, as well as the Secretary-General of CANOC (Association of Committees Caribbean Olympic), Keith Joseph, have both stood together and stressed the importance of such competition for the Caribbean region.
The President of CROS Guadeloupe highlighted the role of the Caribbean Games in the socio-economic revival of several key sectors of Guadeloupe (tourism, air transport, communication, events, cooperation).
These Caribbean Games are a source of resilience and positivity in the face of the health crisis and the challenges it poses.
