Tre Simons helped his Northern Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) Men’s Track and Field teammates finish 4th while taking part in the Cornell Invitational
NIACC finished with 59 points behind Coe who finished first with 151 points, Southwestern finished second with 114 points and Cornell finished third with 87 points. Buena Vista was fifth with 38 points and Clarke rounded out the field with 33 points.
Simons was involved in a battle in the 800m with Imad Amenzou. Amenzou, who is from Marshalltown, won the 800-meter run in 2:00.00 seconds, NIACC's Simons was a close second in 2:00.05.
