Arantxa King who was recently appointed as the first Ethics Officer for the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), will join www.islandstats.com for an update.
In a statement back in mid-November from the organization said, “The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) is delighted to announce the appointment of its first Ethics Officer and a further four members to its Ethics Commission.
“The CGF Ethics Commission is a completely independent body tasked with maintaining the highest standards of probity throughout the Commonwealth Sport Movement.
“The Commission is responsible for hearing and deciding on any alleged breach of the Code of Ethics and Conduct (the Code) and tasked with imposing relevant sanctions in accordance with the Code.
“The Ethics Officer is Arantxa King from Bermuda, a former athlete and sports lawyer called to the New York Bar. The Ethics Officer is the person appointed to manage ethical and conduct cases as and when they arise under the Code.
