Jessica Lewis competed in the 2019 Canadian Track & Field Championships at the Complex Sportif Claude-Robillard.
At the end of the competition, Lewis as she continues her preparation for the ParaPan Am Games picked up 2 Gold Medals and 2 Bronze Medals in the Four events she took to the Track for.
Lewis won the T34-53-54 Women’s 200 Meter race Gold Medal with a time of 33.31.
Lewis would win the Bronze Medal when she finished third in the T34-53 Women’s 400 Meters clocking 1:03.99.
During the T34-52-53 Women 100 Meters Preliminaries, Lewis clocked the fastest time 16.82 and then in the Final Lewis went even faster clocking 16.75 to claim the T34-52-53 Women’s 100 Meters Gold Medal.
Lewis would then win the T53-54 Women’s 800 Meters Bronze Medal when she was clocked across the line in a time of 2:03.18.
Lewis said, “The last few days here in Montreal brought some awesome racing at the 2019 Canadian Track and Field Championships!”
“I accomplished the goals Coach Curtis and I set out for this meet and so glad to come away with some of the best tactical races I’ve done. Proud to also come away with 2 first’s (100m & 200m) and 2 third’s (400m & 800m),” continued Lewis.
Lewis concluded, “Thank you Athletics Canada and Montreal for putting on another great nationals!”
