The Carifta Games 2019 continued in the Cayman Islands, with Bermuda athletes back in action for Preliminaries.
Nirobi Smith-Mills captured the Under 17 Men's 800 Meters Gold Medal with a time of 1:57.95, while Sancho Smith finished 5th clocking 2:00.64.
With a time of 2:26.32, Jezhari Talbot finished the Under 17 Women's 800 Meters in 8th place. Caitlyn Bobb finished the Under 17 Women's 200 Meters Final in 4th place with a time of 24.41.
In the Preliminaries, Caitlyn Bobb advanced to the Under 17 Women's 200 Meters Final after recording the 4th fastest time of 24.25, while Keturah Bulford-Trott finished 11th with a time of 25.56.
Za’Kayza Parsons finished 9th in the Under 17 Girls Long Jump with a top leap of 5.25m which came on her second attempt.
Unfortunately Clevonte Lodge-Bean had a False Start in the Under 20 Men's 200 Meters Heat 3, while Suresh Black recorded a Did Not Finish in Heat 1. Chase Tanner was taken to the hospital with a leg injury he sustained during the Under 17 Men's 200 Meters.
