Taahira Butterfield and Alexis Trott represented the University of Albany Women’s Track and Field on the first day at America East Outdoor Championships at the UMBC Stadium in Baltimore.
Trott returned from injury to finish sixth in the Women’s Long Jump with a top leap of 5.47m. Trott’s best leap came on her 5th attempt.
Butterfield qualified for the Women 100 Meter Dash Finals after finishing with the third fastest qualifying time of 12.07, winning Heat 3.
Butterfield also won Heat 5 of the Women 200 Meter Dash – Preliminaries to advance to the Final with the 3rd fastest time of 24.35.
