In less than one month, the world’s best athletes will take to the Track at London Stadium for the 2017 IAAF World Championships.
Before that, though, Tyrone Smith took to the London Stadium as it played host to the Müller Anniversary Games as the 2017 Diamond League tour makes its first stop in the UK.
Competing in the Men’s Long Jump, Smith finished 6th with atop leap of 7.75m.
Jumping 3rd in the rotation, Smith recorded back to back Fouls on his first two attempts. Smith would then register a leap of 7.55m on his third attempt, he would then leap 7.53m on his fourth attempt.
Smith on his fifth attempt leaped 7.74m, before closing out with the 7.75m attempt.
The Men’s Long Jump was won by Jeff Henderson from the United States of America leaping 8.17m, with fellow American Michael Hartfield finishing second leaping 7.99m and Marquis Dendy made it one, two, three USA when he recorded a top leap of 7.95.
