Senior Dage Minors met the NCAA provisional and NEICAAA Qualifying marks while winning the 800 meters, leading the way for the Franklin Pierce University Men's Track & Field team at the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartan Invitational.
The 10 points for the win were part of a 43-point outing for Franklin Pierce, who finished 11th out of 17 teams to score at the meet.
Minors' run was the definitive highlight of the day for Franklin Pierce in Staten Island. The 800-meter time of 1:52.97 was good enough to win the event and chalk up 10 points.
It also met the NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the event and is currently the fifth-fastest time in the Nation.
The run met the qualifying mark for the NEICAAA Championships as well, and currently ranks first in the Northeast-10 Conference on the Season.
