A lights-out showing by Dage Minors in the 800 meters, to go with four wins and a pair of program records led the way for the Franklin Pierce University Men's Track & Field team, which finished first (out of five teams) at the PSU Winter Classic, hosted by Plymouth State University.
The signature performance of the day for Franklin Pierce came in the 800 meters, where they had each of the top seven finishers and eight of the top nine finishers, in a near shutout of the event. It all added up to 38 points from just one event for Franklin Pierce, who finished with 182.5 points on the way to winning the meet by nearly 40 points over second place and host Plymouth State (145.5 points).
Senior Minors led the way for Franklin Pierce in the 800, turning in a facility-record time of 1:56.45 to take home the win.
