Tyrone Smith continues the Raod to Recovery in his bid to be prepared for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Back on September 9th, Smith was due to take part in the Great CityGames showcase, however during the warm-up, Smith grabbed his leg and withdrew from the competition immediately, later stating on his social media page, “That's what it feels like to tear your hamstring.”
Smith has been working hard to get back his strength said, “I'm doing well! Hamstring has recovered nicely and I'm back to full training.”
Smith went on to say, “I started rehab two days after I got back to Houston and received a PRP injection two weeks after the injury so we really attacked it early.”
Smith concluded, “We will see how the next 6 weeks of training go and will hopefully be ready for world indoors. If not we will certainly be 100% by April.”
