King Accepted Into London 2012 Olympics

Bermuda Track and Field Association President Donna Watson announced Arantxa King has been accepted into London 2012 Olympics as an unqualified athlete in the Women’s Long Jump.

“We had to submit a form with the deadline last Friday and she has been accepted,” said Watson.

Watson concluded, “We are very excited and so is Arantxa and her mom, Branwen Smith-King as we sent it to them this morning.”

King is still is trying to reach the standard and will be traveling along with Tre Houston and Aaron Evans to the National Championships is Trinidad.
