Virginia State University will send a total of five student-athletes to the 2012 NCAA Track & Field Championships at Colorado State in Pueblo, CO on Thursday, May 24th thru Saturday, May 26th.
Included in the Virginia State University five is Taylor-Ashley Bean who will be running in the Women’s 800 meter event.
Bean ran a personal best time of 2:10.53 at the VA Tech-Roanoke College Twilight on May 10th, that time saw Bean set a New Junior Women’s National Record for a second time within five days.
Bean goes into the Championships on a high as she currently holds three Bermuda Junior Women’s National records, the 800m – 2:10.53, 1500m – 4:42.82 and 3000m – 10:22.82.
