Two of these athletes Justin Donawa and Keunna Dill are members of the Bermuda Track and Field Association (BTFA) and both competed successfully in the recent Carifta Games held in Bermuda. The third athlete was Zeiko Lewis.
Carifta Gold Medal Triple Jump winner Donawa competed in the Boys Triple Jump, Long Jump, 100m and 4x100m relay. His leap of 13.47m in the Triple Jump saw him finish second, while his leap of 6.25m placed him first in the Long Jump. He just missed a spot on the podium with a fourth place in the 100m with a time of 11.29s. The 4x100m relay team in which Lewis was also a part of, placed 1st and broke the New England Record for the Championship, running a time of 42.87.
Dill competed in the Girls Triple Jump, Long Jump, 100m and 4x100m relay. In Long Jump, she recorded a Personal Best leap of 5.15m that placed her in fourth, while her leap of 10.56m in the Triple Jump saw her finish in second. In the 100m she ran a time of 12.83, finishing fourth overall. Her 4x100m team placed fifth and recorded a personal best for the season.
Lewis also competed in the 300m Hurdles were he placed third with a time of 41.12.
