Jasmine Brunson competed at the Clemson Tiger Qualifier, Clemson’s final home meet of the 2012 outdoor season.
Brunson finished 2nd in the Women Long Jump with a top leap of 5.76m, Brunson then finished 3rd, in the Women’s Triple Jump with a leap of 12.42m.
Meanwhile Alexis Bean and her St. John’s University Track and Field teammates traveled to Princeton University for the ECAC Championships.
The 4x800-meter relay team of Bean, Nicole Cocozza, Michelle Duffy and Aryon Trujillo qualified for the finals with a 9:06.76 time. Unfortunately due to Graduation, St. John’s had to replace seniors Cocozza and Trujillo for the final heat with two 800-meter novices, Trudy-Ann McLean and Claire Mooney. The four actually ended up improving upon the preliminary time and placed seventh overall at 9:04.73.
