Carifta Silver and Bronze Medalist Taylor Ashley Bean and her Virginia State University’s Women’s Outdoor Track and Field teammates won their first ever CIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship with 139.50 total points.
Bean won two events and finished second in another.
During the Women’s 800 Meter Run Preliminaries Bean recorded the fastest time of 2:13.86, however in the Final Bean finished second with a time of 2:14.55.
Bean then won the Women’s 1500 Meter Run after she broke the tape in a time of 4:54.06 10 and then she came back to win the Women’s 3000 Meter Run clocking a time of 10:58.30.
Bean was also a member of the Virginia State Women’s 4x400 Meter Relay team that finished 4th with a time of 3:52.76.
