Caelin Peters and his Connecticut College Men's Basketball teammates fell to Salve Regina by a score of 80 - 65 on Tuesday night.
Peters went 0 for 4 from the Field, in 16 minutes of action, he had 2 Personal Fouls, and 1 Steal.
Salve Regina took the lead five minutes into the game and did not look back, leading the Camels for the remainder of the contest. A large lead in rebounds set the visitors up with seven more field goal attempts than the Camels throughout the first half of play and allowed them to jump out to an early 13-point lead. The Seahawks were fueled by 13 first-half points by Kevin Kelly and 10 from Mikey Spencer, as they entered halftime ahead of the Camels by a score of 35-22. The second half was much improved for Connecticut College, which continuously attempted to close the gap with the help of 12 forced turnovers. Unfortunately for the Camels, any hint at a change in momentum was greeted with a made three-pointer by the Seahawks, who shot 7-of-13 from behind the arc in the second half. While the Camels were able to temporarily close the gap multiple times, Salve Regina remained on top throughout the second half and proved victorious by a 15-point margin at the final whistle.
