David Patrickís University of California Riverside (UCR) Men's Basketball Teamís two game win streak was ended as they fell 82-64 to the conference's top team UC Irvine.
Despite three UCR players finding double scoring figures, they could not hold off the UC Irvine attack allowing 41 points in each half and a .525 shooting performance in the game.
UC Irvine battled hard in the first half stretching its lead out to as much as 15 with just five minutes remaining in the first half.
UCR would reduce the lead to 41-30 heading into the half.
UCR came out of the locker room with a purpose cutting the lead to just five at 45-40, but UCI would seal the contest taking their largest lead of the game, 82-55, with just a minute and a half left.
Junior Dikymbe Martin led all scorers with 16 points off of 6-of-9 shooting and sophomore Dominick Pickett and freshman Callum McRae rounded out the double digit scorers with 12 and 10, respectively. McRae would add his first ever double-double grabbing 10 rebounds as well'
