The Bermuda Basketball Elite City League continued with a double header inside the Somersfield Academy Gymnasium, which produced 244 points on the night.
Game 1 saw the Falcons edged the Hornets 69 – 67, the Falcons were led by John Lee who had a double-double scoring 19 points, he had 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 blocked shot, while the Hornets Darae Smith got a game high 25 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.
Game 2 saw the Fort Knox Panthers defeat the RLT Lions in the first Big Cat Derby of the season by a score of 77 – 31. The Panthers got 21 points from Shannon Thompson, while adding 2 rebounds and 2 steals, while Jacy Lowery led the Lions with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
