IslandStats.com
Linden Jackson and his Olds College Men’s basketball teammates picked up their fourth win of the season, knocking off the Red Deer College 107 - 95.

Jackson and Abraham Murray led Olds College on offense, scoring 33 and 30 respectively.

On the other side of the ball Eric Bakker had his way with Old College underneath the hoop, shooting 13-18 from the field for a game-high 34 points.

Old College found their groove from the three point line in the first, with Abraham Murray and Paulo Del Sol Letto each making both of their attempts. Old College held a 12 point lead at one point before Red Deer College charged back late in the quarter to narrow the gap to just four down 29-25.

Olds College would add to their lead in the second, using quick ball movement to free open lanes for the guards and create quality scoring chances. Murray shot 6-8 from the floor in the half for a half-high 14 points to give his team a 53-44 lead into halftime.

Murray continued his masterful performance in the third quarter, making another four shots from the floor while teammate Jackson added to his stellar season putting up 22 points after the third. Olds College would take a 83-70 lead into the fourth frame.

Red Deer College started the fourth quarter on a quick 4-0 run, leading to a Mike Stevens timeout under a minute into the quarter to settle down his troops.

Red Deer College continued clawing their way back into the game after the timeout, getting within five points with six minutes remaining in the game.

From there Olds College would pull away. With four minutes remaining Murray hit his fifth three pointer of the game to put Olds College back up nine and give his team momentum down the stretch.

Olds College would finish the game with a 107-95 win, improving their record to 4-3 going into the holiday break.
